I am one month pregnant (now I have already had a baby a year ago and everything went fine). I know when you are pregnant you get tired and nauseous, but this is different I am tired 24 hours a day I can sleep all day, 8 hours whatever and am still tired, I have a constant headache and am nauseous all day I take tylonyol and it still doesn't go away. I can barely bring myself to eat anything. I haven't lost any weight because I force myself to eat. I am also cold all day (espically my had and feet, I can have the heat at 80 degrees and I am still cold eventually I get warm by covering up, but when I turn the heat back down to like 75 and uncover I get cold within seconds, also everyone says I look pale. I talk to a nurse at my OBGYN office and she said these symptoms are normal and after the first trimester they should go away. But it is affecting my life, I can't take care of my son properly, I can't cook or clean with out having to lay down.

I also periodically get pain in my stomach, mostly on my right side, but on my left also. I am also very dizzy and sometimes my vision get blurry. Is this really normal, because everyone says it is? I am not sure, with my first pregnacy it wasn't this bad.

Every pregnancy is different. With my first pregnancy I had severe morning sickness around the clock and barely able to keep anything down. I also had to have bed rest for a while and was tired and washed out all the time.

I am pregnant again for the second time. I have not had a single case of morning sickness (only a little nauseated for two weeks and then it disappeared entirely). I felt reall extremely exhausted the first month, though. But that stopped when I was about three months along and now I am 19 weeks pregnant and way past it. Also this time my tummy has popped out like a giant lives in there! It's so unlike the first time around. Also I crave a lot of food and eat a lot.

So I guess my point is that to each is her own. Just try to hang in there and be strong. Believe me I was so freaked out when I was pregnant again (my daughter was only 5 months old and both siblings will be exactly 14 months apart). I had a hard time caring for my daughter the first month. But I had a great support system and a lot of help from hubby and baby's grandparents. Don't worry you will feel better soon. Just hang in there. But don't over sleep because that can make you feel even more dragged out. Try to motivate yourself to move even if you feel crummy. After three or four weeks it should pass but until then ask for help with your son. Good luck!

Yes, this is all normal for some women sucks huh? Do your best to take care of your son, I know it is hard but I am doing the same w/ a 3 & 2 year old & 8 weeks pregnant. My son now goes over the toilet & garbadge ca & coughs because he sees me vommit so much! The blurry vision though could be a sign of dehydration and may also be causing the cramping! Drink more water see if that helps, also it can be a sign of diabetes, and gaul bladder probems which your likely hood of it needing to be removed increases w/ each pregnancy! So talk w/ your doctor again at next vist, not he nurse & good Luck

I know how you feel. my first pregnancy i didn't have morning sickness or anything. 3 weeks into my second, i couldn't keep my eyes open. i would wake up at 7.30 and be struggling to stay awake an hour later. Every one told me it was perfectly normal too.
just walked around the house as much as i could. got rid of my headaches also.

i know how you feel. good luck with the rest of your pregnancy though. it got better for me after about 16 weeks.

I know how you feel, as I felt EXACTLY the same for the first half of my pregnancy. I still feel pretty shocking now, but at least the vomitings gone! (Im 38 weeks).

Remember every pregnancy is different, and unfortunately it sounds like this one might not be as fun as your last one!

Hope things get better! and Congrats on your pregnancy : )
