How about being a bit more correct because it's actually 71% of those polled by the liberal media around the liberal centers of New York and Southern California oppose W's handling of the war because 71% of the idiots in those regions oppose W on everything?

There are two things I can think of, and the first one I am compelled not to put that much weight on.
1) There are people that have more knowledge than that which is covered by the media. They believe the situation is actually better than it is. Again, I believe this is unlikely, but I'm willing to accept any possibilities.
2) Those that refuse to listen to the news, read, or do anything productive to inform themselves. They feel that the media has a liberal bias, which it certainly does. However, that liberal bias does not take our missteps so far out of proportion that the statements they make are not realistic. It is simply the nature of journalism schools to educate with a liberal bent. The people that support Bush's handling of the war also tend to be those that will follow their President simply because he is their leader. While I completely disagree with their philosophy, that is the comment I have frequently heard. I believe in the old saying (I forgot who said it) that the people should not fear the government, but the government should fear the people. It seems we have not held Bush accountable enough because those that still support him will not question him.
Fear ye not liberals and intelligent conservatives, for there is still reason and logic on the right-wing. However, those whom subscribe to those two virtues do not subscribe to those of neo-conservatism or Bush.

The other 29% are the people who, when no WMD's were found, totally ignored the fact that the government was lying.
The government said Saddam had chemical weapons and bio weapons and was on the verge of developing atomic weapons.
Not true.
And Dubya knew that before the invasion because Dubya wanted to invade Iraq BEFORE 911. 911 was a pretense.
They didn't skip a beat.
They jumped right on board with the Iraqi liberation deception.
And then it was Iraqi democracy.
And then they deteriorated into repetitive chants.
stay the course
cut and run.
over and over and over.
Like zombie automatons.
