For a paper for school I have to write about peoples favorite movies and why they are their favorite movies. We can use any and all resourses so Im hoping you guys can help me. All you have to do is tell me your favorite movie and a little reasoning. Thanks a ton!!!

Braveheart. Its a true epic. Its got action, adventure, romance, suspence, thrills, chills and some humor. It doesn't get any better. I watched it in high school with some friends and we didn't say anthing through the entire movie. When it was over we all looked around at each other and we were like "wooooow! dude, that was awesome!"
Runners up - red dawn and return of the jedi.....

Casablanca. For several reasons 1) Rumoured to be the most quoted movie of all time 2) Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains, Sidney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre nuff said 3) They were filming it at the same time that it was being written. Ingrid Bergman once said she didn't know who her character was going to end up with 4) ALL the major stars in the movie thought it sucked 5) It won the Oscar for Best Picture 6) There are several amazing scenes in the movie 7) I've watched it at least 15 times, and it is still fresh. I ilke many movies and I don't have a favorite. But the first movie that came in my mind was Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino. Well, I like the cast (maybe because they play so well), the noir flim in general, the way the sory is told (the most). There are 3-4 stories that meet at one point with the other and they are told seperately and not in the order they happen, so you have to realize which was the order after the movie was finished, and that's what I think is genius...

i think fav. movie is 'City Of God' which is based on a true story that takes place in the 70's in Brazil, i love the movie cuz it shows the life of the people back then, how corrupt the gov. was and its powerfull.. see it if u can.. you'll love it

Dogville because to me it's art. The characters are real, the story is believable, and the ending is very unpredictable.

George C. Scott's version of "A Christmas Carol", "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Funny Girl" with Barbara Streisand are tied as my favorite movies. "A Christmas Carol" is just a classic tale about how our actions affect those around us as is "It's a Wonderful Life". "Funny Girl" is about Fanny Brice's early years with The Ziegfeld Follies and it's sequel, "Funny Lady", is centered more on her life with Billy Wilder. "Funny Girl" is a wonderful and inspirational rags-to-riches story with a catchy soundtrack. All of these movies have a tendency to take me back to when I was a kid and life was simpler.

my favorite movie would have to be lord of the rings. its got a little bit of everything, action, family, friendship,fantasy, even romance. tell me what other movie can do that and still keep you captivated for over 3 hours???

I like all harry potter movies because they are differnt from other movies,i like fiction movies or stories and another reason is that i like DANIEL RADCLIFFE.
another movie which i like is SOUND OF MUSIC because the songs are awesome and the story is also good.
