He and many others have said that for thousands of years. We create the illusions (perceived as "reality") you see all around you. What you wear, your hair style, how you act towards yourself and others is just that--AN ACT! When we are 4, 5, 6, or 7, we generate this thing called "ego." Ego keeps us separate (okay, sets up the illusion of separateness) from everyone. We buy into it. We buy into the crap that comes out of Hollywood and Bollywood. WE buy into the crap that everyone of us "sells" everyone else because of our insanity. Recognizing this is the pathway to destroying the ego and living a truly authentic life without the encumberances of ego weighing us down.

Keep reading, and thinking, and asking questions!

Of course there is. Tolle may have a point, but that doesn't mean he's one hundred percent right. Just because a lot of us have quirks, love the drama they start, etc, that doesn't mean those people are insane, just a little eccentric. Eccentricity is not the same as insanity, though it may appear that way sometimes, and it may be easier to see people in a simplistic way, but that doesn't negate the truth.

If there is no such thing as a "Sane" Human Being, then there is no such thin as a crazy person either.

No one is sane. We simply have more extreme degrees of insanity in some than in others.

i believe that there is no sane person on this earth. especially because alot of people would think someone was insane for calling themselves sane. also there is no right or wrong in nature, and there is no sane or insane, we are who we are.

i think everyone is insane in some facet of their being...its just that some are more noticable, or the person cant keep a lid on it. its kinda all in what one can control at any given time

Some people wonder where we all come from,
Some people wonder where they're goin when it's all said and done.

It really don't matter to me,
I believe I'll just let the mystery be.

No. What may be sane to one person may be total lunacy to another and vice versa.

Nah, we're all insane. Just as long as we have fun, and don't hurt anybody else's insane experiances, then it's all good - right?

I am completely sane, you are just mad because the voices don't talk to you.
