Can a spring suspension on a trailer be converted to air ride suspension?

I wouldn't think so. The leaf springs mount differently than air bags. Then you'd have to mount shock absorbers.

Maybe. Is it coil springs or leaf springs? Hard to say without seeing the plans and such. Consult a trailer maker.

Yes you can but it would take up a lot of money, time, and be very difficult to fix the trailer up to support it. It would be unconventional.
