Spend $200 on a 1 hour consultation with a local attorney who specializes in domestic or family law. If finances are an issue, call around about community services or your county legal assistance office.

Depending on the state your in will depend on the laws for each. Some are what they call "No-fault" yet there are those who are not . I unfortunately have been on both sides of that fence. I know that down here (Ga.) you can even bill board ads that offer no-contest divorces for $250. But if things are agreeable between the both of you it doesn't have to even cost that.

ok the other guy seemed to not be real help and i dont know what help i can give you exept what little i know. your kinda vauge on what you need help with if its posetion spliting then hire a lawyer for that if you dont youll proabably loose more than you gain. if its with getting kids the court kinda pities women because they think there more able for rasing kids. If you truly feel you deserve custady though youll have to prove her incompatance in court, things that might help are if she cant hold down a steady job, drug records, or any other recless behavior not sutibal for kids (living conditons so forth)

sorry i dont know that much but i o hope this helps

some lawyers offer an free hour of consultation. fees vary beyond that. you need to shop around. the men's rights associatiation has or had a referral program to lawyers who really fight for men in divorce. they are out of lake forest, mn but there are men's rights groups around the country. good luck, sir.
