yes, the people voted, and some of them got confused and didnt know what they were voting on. we need to have group meetings in our communities before voting to explain and talk about what is on ballets

absolutely...this is another typical violation of the declaration of independence...I believe it falls under the preamble:

We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal, that they are endowed, by their Creator, with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

not so sure if it's liberals who are responsible for this...could be republicans...they are famous for restrictions...

Is it possible to search the internet to read a copy of our constitution? I think so. I've read it, and I don't see it in there anywhere. So, no, it's not our constitutional right to smoke. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness comes with being free to pursue a good life for ourselves and our family. Though some people might think it means other kinds of happiness, that's not the intent of the writers of the document. If the pursuit of happiness depends on getting a smoke, then it would also be fair to say that a non-smoker has the right to pursue happiness through breathing clean air while standing in line, not the smoke from the smokers' cigarette. There are always two sides to every right...both sides desiring to be right. Being an ex-smoker, I go out of my way to avoid being in line behind or in front of a smoker for two reasons. One is because I like breathing...period. And the other is because I don't want to infringe upon the smoker's right to lung cancer and emphysema. It has nothing to do with the constitution. <*)))><

Like the first answer many people mistakenly believe the constitution gives us certain rights. WRONG!!!
It gives the government SPECIFIC responsibilities. We grant the govenment powers. Our government has been vastly corrupted!

Founding father hamilton and Madison were against writing the "Bill of rights" for fear that over time the government would grow to view these as the only rights granted. (exactly what has happened)

I'd suggest reading the federalist papers.

Finally, someone who thinks the government shouldn't control us!!!!!

But these liberals need mommy and daddy to tell them what is right and wrong.

no.... the constitution is basically providing in a nutshell... life, liberty and the persuit of happiness....

smoking takes life. so no it is not
