There is a very fine line between arrogance and confidence. Arrogance relates a feeling of superiority. Confidence is linked to maturity.

Even if we have things that we believe and voice our opinion, it does not validate being arrogant and is not always related to it. Arrogance is one of the same to Overbearing in self. Some, are not overbearing in what they know and are also not humbled by it. It may be stated or done firmly and then let go, not trying to alter or sway others or even have a view of absolution in their own mind thus not arrogant. It is well balanced.

Are you mixing arrogance with self-confidence because someone with a serious inferiority complex has been making you feel bad about your confidence? People who know a lot tend to be attacked by others and accused of arrogance, while they simply refuse to waste time on "non-understanders." Of course many are "arrogant" in the sense you use it, and why not? Just don't feel bad about it & let losers be losers.

Define arrogant ...
Having or displaying a sense of overbearing self-worth or self-importance.
Marked by or arising from a feeling or assumption of one's superiority toward others.
IMHO - We can all be arrogant and humble at the same time! It depends on our personal belief structure!
Christians (I am one) can appear both when we speak to others about our beliefs. Others may see us as arrogant and yet we see ourselves as humble!
Most are not trying to offend others but it may come across as such! Belief (Faith) in something partially unknown, can cause others to become 'uncomfortable' at least!
Hope this helps -

No. Never ever ever.

Alright you caught me, I'm often arrogant about the things I've learned in school and it can sometimes even interfere with my very perception of school. I'll think to myself, I know everything there is to know and I don't need to study that hard. Then BAM. I get a slap of reality as the test kicks me right in the jewels!

Yes, we all are arrogant. But that doesn't mean we can't notice when someone else is much more so in a situation we are confident about.

I'm occasionally arrogant about my intellect. (Although, compared to a lot of people, I'm not that bright so go figure) And about small things I know. (Only I have crappy memory and I often find I have mixed them up. Fortunately I have no trouble admitting it with a straight face.)

Yes most people are. I, however, am not. I am above arrogance. This, of course, makes me better than most people.
