yes they did live in peace Muslims have been at peace for 500 years. the Muslims have been cursed with oil and our greedy western nations want it so they have to make the Muslims look bad so we can have a common enemy and our governments can justify killing them so they can occupy there land and steal there oil.

Prior to Israel, they did live in peace under the British.

Then came the late 40s when terrorist Israeli guerrilas rebelled against the British government there. One well known terrorist attack during that time was the bombing of the King David Hotel where 91 people were killed, most of them civilians (17 were Jewish). There were others but usually when you mention Israeli terrorism, you always run into the King David Hotel Bombing. So yes, it was created because the terrorists won and now we have Israel.

Some of the people here are really one sided. War is war and war happens between people regardless to race, religion, nationality. Yes, they did live in peace before the Zionists arrived. It is true that British soldiers were murdered by Zionist militias. Did you know that the British UN ambassador was murdered by one of the militia members. That militia member was in fact the father of Israel's current foriegn minister Tzip Livni.

The Arabs never harmed the Jews, there were never any death camps in the Middle East during the times of WW2. The holocaust is not in any part of Middl East history, its European history. The Zionists are not Jews, they are somewhat like Pharaohs. Judaism is a spiritual roadmap to God, just like Christianity and Islam. Zionism is a political idealogy, and the early followers were indeed violent, thier legacies are still praised until now among Israelis.

I dont imagine any Muslims hate Jews generally, because we are no longer taught to hate human beings even for his or her vast difference in faith. What Muslims dont believe are Zionists and those Israelis who've been occupying Palestine for over 60 years now. How am i meant to sense good about someone taking up my native land and killing thousands of my brothers and sisters? The nation now known as Israel was part of a larger kingdom called Judea in the days before the Roman Empire sacked it. The Jews populated the region in larger numbers than Arabs. Thoes are total lies that muslim extreemist brodcast. No muslim country in the middle east protected their jewish population from lynch mobs of muslims after saterday prayers with any consistancy. As for the british, most of the combat that jews were involved in before 1948 were with the arabs in adjacent towns and cities who would consantly attack them. Any fighting between the jewish settlers and the british army was nothing compared to the arab violence against british citizens.

There's been a problem since the second faith began exterminating all other faiths and demanding blackmail tribute from the rest, if that is what you call "peace". the day Isreal proclaimed itself a "nation" all of it's arab neighbors attacked and tried to drive them into the sea. And yes, people of all faiths lived there before, and no one but the arab leaders told the arabs tro move away from the refugees from Europe. Let's be frank, Europe dropped the Jews on the beach to get rid of them, they were the victims of WW2, not the cause but became the scapegoats and subject to the same reprisals as experienced by ex-slaves in the American South after our Civil War. It was a way of getting rid of them, no one cared or expected them to survive. The UN has continually ruled against Isreal so much their words mean little to them now, and they have survived against all odds. And Palestine did NOT exist until propaganda mills began cranking the stuff out decades after people should have been able to move out of those "refugee camps" neighboring countries force the arabs to live in as punishment for not fighting Isreal harder. The Brits just wanted to wash their hands of the mess, not babysit a centuries old feud between two sides that didn't have anything but desert until the Jews made it blossom, and now they've struck oil. But the arabs wouldn't have their big oilfields until modren times if not for British and American explorers and investors, they get blame for "exploiting" the masses yet their rulers have pocketed money all these years, that's why it's so important to keep everyone upset about Isreal and the USA, so they never question why their rulers are kings and the rest are peasants in the dirt.
PS Benjamin - Slavery in America was result of the practice (not yet vanquished but we went to Tripoli centuries ago to explain there'd be no tribute from the USA) of slavery in Africa, practiced by muslims, the muslims were linked up with the Nazis, and certain leaders like Saddam's uncle were proud collaborators, as was the Bosnian SS guard. You should have mentioned Darfur, Somalia, Indonesia, Thailand, 9/11, places where in MODERN times the religion is doing bad things in the name of the religion. that is the issue, not the ancient past none of us is responsible for, but today and tomorrow, this thing needs to simmer down and be civilized, not just to call a cease fire to reload, rearm and plan the next strike.
