Okay, since I asked about the greatest Rock and Roll band, how about the greatest rock male vocalist? I'll will go with Robert Plant. I've always thought (in my mind anyways!) that a good way to judge someone's vocal talent was if you could imagine that person singing ANY type of music, not just the stuff they do. Vince Neil sounds great doing Motley Crue stuff, but I certainly cannot imagine him singing gospel, for example. Plant has a voice that probably could do just about any style. Who gets your vote?

Actually, I was a HUGE Nirvana fan. I loved their Unplugged and I felt crushed when Cobain died.

Kurt Cobain-yes your probably think he was nothing but a drug addict and blah and blah.. But if you ever actually heard his songs, they have this feeling that everyone can realate to and you know the normal streotype that people thing of rockstars that they aint that smart.. Well he was very intelligent, if you ever get to read his journals.i recommded them.. his voice especially in the MTV Unplugged would have brought you to tears
another
one would be Johnny Cash
a man with such a different voice that wasnt accepted during the era and the music he wrote
just now words to express it

I would have to say Robert Plant, but close competition from Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, Jack White, and Josh Homme. Johnny Cash is one of my all time favorites. I also love Dave Grohl, and Daniel Johns.
