I currently have a strong belief that people with disabilities should be able to show their sexuality and they arent able to be given the chance while they are under a roof either a institiution or a supported housing which currently has 24hrs a day 7days a week a carer under there roof.
Do you think that people with disabilities should be given the chance to show their sexuality.
What is your personal attitudes and values on this

Hi!
I agree with you, people with disabilities should be able to express their sexuality IF cleared with their Doctors first, that they are physically able to do so. However, in all institutions, supported housing..etc. it is simply never allowed, to protect all the residents. Many reports of rape and other sexual misconduct are made from such institutions, hence the enforcement of that rule as a resident. There is just no way to have such arrangements provided in a "community environment"
Good topic!! Take care!.

I don't see why not as long as they are consenting adults and know what goes on.
Just because they are disabled adults, does not mean they don't want/like sex. They shouldn't be treated like children if they have the intelligence to be responsible with their actions.
I have known many disabled people who were sexual.

U mean engage prostitutes? I think i've heard about such things happening in Germany.

But usually for folks living in institutions or hospitals, their situation might be more complicated for them to think about sex.

they can they just have to arrange it on their own and be sneaky about it. I used to date a girl who had her right leg amputated above the knee and she was awesome in bed. She lived with her parents but drove a car and everything, so she could go wherever she wanted.
