Actually you should use ATF+4 in any chrysler car 1991 or newer. It used to be called 7176 fluid then ATF+3 now ATF+4. Pennzoil however makes a great tranny fluid called multi-vehicle that you can use for GM, Ford, And Chrysler cars and trucks. With the exception of the new Dexron VI that GM has come out with.

The fluid has to be of the ATF+4 rating if you are doing a filter change or complete replacement. If it is for topping off, ATF+3 or DEXRON III will work(no more than 2 quarts).

Any chrysler, jeep, dodge product after 1999 with an automatic tranny uses ATF+4 fluid the friction modifier is for the rear differential with what chrysler calls "Anti-spin" or posi-trac for you chevy guys, never in the trans, and dont use Dextron lll unless you want to buy a new tranny.

NEVER EVER use Type F
Why not, you ask?..........Type F was formulated for earlier model Ford/Lincoln/Mercury transmissions
