Are gameboy advanced games compatible to use on a Nintendo DS system?

Yes, they will play gameboy advance games. The slot is facing towards you on your ds when you hold it. Also you cant use the really old ones like the gameboy games that are realllly big cartridges because they didnt make the ds able to play those only the more modern gameboy games. Also on your ds there is a feature that you can choose which screen you would like your GBA games to play on, the top screen or the bottom one.

Most Gameboy advanced games will play in the Nintendo DS, but if you are using a Nintendo DS Lite don't even try because the older ones are not designed for that particular console.

Yes you can play GBA games on it, but not older ones like GBC or GB games. And the upcoming Nintendo DSi isn't going to be released in America until Fall of 09, so you still have a while to get regular DS or DS Lite.

yep, the DS lite and the older DS are both compatible with game boy advance games..

any other game boy game besides adavanced arent though..
