Yes, the most memorable being November 5, 2002 here in Alaska. It was about a 7.6 on the Richter and was scary and exciting at the same time. I remember evacuating the building I was in and while standing in the parking lot seeing the pavement roll in waves as the ground shook, bouncing the cars up and down. When I got home, expecting a righteous disaster, the refrigerator had "walked" out of its space and turned sideways in the middle of the kitchen and my cookie jar was shattered on the floor. Other people werent so lucky.

Yes, several when I lived in California. The worst one was in 1994? 1995? officially 6.8 I believe, centered in Northridge. My house shook so badly I was sure it was going to fall down right on top of me and my son. We lived in an old wooden house. Actually there was very little damage, which I was told was due to the fact it was more flexible than bricks or concrete. Still, it was a very frightening experience and made me decide to move out of state.

Yes.... Its not that interesting. The ground shakes a little bit. You ask whether a fat lady just skipped by or a train passed by. But then you turn on the TV and realize it was an earthquake....
NOT INTERESTING!!!!

yes, many. the most memorable one was 37yrs. ago when i was 12. i could hear it coming and then watched the street i was playing in roll like a wave on the ocean. when the "wave" hit under my feet i was sent 3 feet in the air. that one registered only a 2.1 wouldn't want to around anything bigger.
