you should pierce on your left ear. It won't hurt but clean it often to prevent any infection.

Get whatever ear pierced that you want to. Get one ear, or two, left or right. It doesn't much matter.
The whole 'gay-reference' is really an illegitimate carry-over from the 80's. In the 80's, it was very common for gay men to have their right ear pierced... so any straight men had to get the left pierced. These days so many people have left, right, and everything between - I would expect very few, if any, stupid comments. Besides, it shouldn't matter what any schmuck on the street might say - You know who you are, and that remains the same whether you're straight or gay.
Personally, I always liked two ears... that's what I had some time ago and I just dug the way it looked. My preference of style might not be yours though.
Will it hurt? Nahhh... not so much. It'll feel like a pinch (unless you get a very large gauge piercing). Mostly, your ear will feel really warm for about half-an-hour afterwards.
So get what you want bro, and wear it with pride!

I don't know if there is a right or wrong ear to pierce...but no, it doesn't hurt. You'll feel the initial 'shock' which feels more like a sting than anything, but the feeling goes away very quickly. Get it done professionally to prevent infection, make sure you swab it daily with the solution they give you, and make sure to turn it in your ear daily for the first few weeks.

A good way to remember about guys ears being pierced is "Right ear is wrong, Left ear is right". That is how my sons remembered. Getting your ears pierced doesn't hurt. You just have to take care of them like anything else. Good Luck.

BOTH! Looks really sexy on guys. And yes, it hurts a bit, the pain will be deadened when it's done but you'll feel pressure, and then it will be sore for a bit afterwards. It's worth it tho! Any piercing is an initiation, a trial of pain that will mark a changing place in your life.

Get the ear thats the opposite of the hand you write with. And it doesnt hurt. It just feels like someone is pinching you...through your ear.

Gay men usually (or used to, at least) pierce their right ears so that they may be easily identified. So, unless you're looking to hook up, I'd go with the left ear.

Have you heard of the latest trend of having ones butt cheeks pierced ..... I'm not sure which one is preferable but they can't sit down right after having it done!
