Guys are born with the mentality that having to acheive your goals (competition) and logic is HUGE. Girls are more concerned with personal relationships and feelings. So guys, what happens when a personal goal of yours hasn't come through? Is it a "life changing" thing? Does it really hurt your pride? As a friend, what can i do to help?

In this question is that unavoidable element, aging. Physically, at 26 I feel no different than 18, but socially over the past 2 years I have been feeling the pressure to settle ...(down). So many of my friends who shared the passion to save the world are now in one corporation or another. I promised myself that I would work until 30 on my dream, the foreign service, but this year it has been difficult. This has really caught me off-guard. To answer your question, I am going to invest such an obscene amount in my dream, that if I don't achieve it, it was simply beyond my grasp. No harm, no foul.

Honestly I think guys care for their relationships just as much as girls, we are just better at hiding our feelings then you girls are. I know that loseing a close relationship would break my heart just as much as any girl. so I don't know about my pride I think that has nothing to do with it. and about the only thing you can do to help is lots of hugs
