Approximately 2 million South Vietnamese

Approximately 1 million North Vietnamese

Approximately 1 million Laotians

Approximately 1 million Cambodians

And approximately 57,000 Americans

USA lost 58,000 military
Western supported military lost 300,000

North Vietnam lost 600,000 military
Civilian dead was almost 1,000,000

These figures ONLY reflect losses until Saigon fell to teh North Vietnamese. Losses AFTER the North Vietnamese took over might be double or triple the civilian losses.

They massacred so many people the rivers ran red..... But of course nobody wants to think about that....

CASUALTIES

* Hostile deaths: 47,359.
* Non-hostile deaths: 10,797.
* Total: 58,202 (includes men formerly classified as MIA and Mayaguez casualties). Men who have subsequently died of wounds account for the changing total.
* 8 nurses died - 1 was KIA.

Five men killed in Vietnam were only 16 years old.

The oldest man killed was 62 years old.

11,465 KIAs were less than 20 years old.

About 5.4 million total.

There was officially 58,148 killed during service. And more114
were captured and died in captivity.


A total of approximately 67,000 Americans.

The rest of the 5.4 mill was people who were living there.
