I kinda had the same problem. I have really pale skin, and bright colors and dark colors both look bad on me. My eyes are a pale blue but sometimes they change to a greenish. Anyways... I found that the smoky colors looked better. Not a black, but like a grayish color. I also tend to find that pale color's look good on me too. Try a pale color, or a smoky gray color. I hope this helps you out...

It might be because you have a pale compexion. Black eyeliner and bright colors will come across too harsh. For a foundation you may always use a color that is one teint darker than your skin. If you're not sure about the color, ask for a sample you can try at home. In the daylight it always looks different than in the shop.
For an eyeliner you can use a brown pencil, because it's a shadow color. Eyeshadows with a brownish undertone will look more naturel than bright colors too. You might want to concider terracotta, mocca, chocolate and creme colors.
For the lips I can give you the same advise. Don't use colors that are too bright.
Hopefully this will help.

I had the same problem. You can purchase a tint to apply underneath the make up. I use green made by Revlon, you can buy it at Dillard's, or you can use yellow. Then apply a light make up over it, it looks great and stays on. Any eye-make up should be subtle, it should not be so noticeable that a woman looks like a clown. I have blue eyes and use a light color on the eyelids like off white and a soft darker shade color above the eyelid. You need to experiment, you will find out what works for you. The trick is to use it sparingly. Good Luck.

I just have to counter a comment that was added about st Ives apricot scrub. This is the single WORST product available for complexions. DO NOT use it on your face. It slices your face like small pieces of glass. Contrary to popular belief, people with acne should not use scrubs or such exfoliators. Using these can irritate the skin and make acne worse. Rather use an enzyme mask or non abrasive exfoliator to remove dead skin from your face. Ole Henriksen has a nice blueberry enzyme mask that will do that job well. In response to your question, definitely take care to treat your acne and also to cover it with concealer and foundation if you wish to play up your eye makeup. Not doing so will not be very flattering.

For your lips, use nude colored gloss that's closer to your skin tone. For your cheeks, like pink or orange. For your eyes, seeing as you can't wear blue and green (which would look goodv on you by the way), just try concealer on the lid, a light highlighter color for yor brow line, and brown liner and mascara. Also, a good bronzer powder might be you secret to success. Good Luck!!!

Instead of using "colors" try using natural shades. Because your eyes are two colors, they may bring a conflict to the colors you are trying to wear.
If you are adamant about finding a color then try different texture. I find that wearing power in the summer and liquid in the winter helps. Also Mixing colors or applying a shimmer may help as well.

Try using foundation, powder and blush that fit your complexion. I know plenty of girls that wear too dark or too light and it makes them look so washed out. Also, try wearing pink or light brown eyeshadow, brown eyeliner and brown mascara. I have green eyes and black and brown look good on my eyes. Also, instead of wearing a thick lipstick, try wearing a lipgloss or chapstick with a little color too it.

Pastels may make you pop better. Avoid the roses for blush and go for the peaches. Try a gray or plum liner.Because of the natural bright color of your mouth, try lip glosses that are not harsh. Good luck and in your case less may be more.

blue and green liners an shadows will work best for you. Use brushes to apply. Always use highlighters that are warm, golds, corals. maybe you should head to the mall and have your face made up for free. if you like it, buy it.
