Hi my name is sarah and i'm taking a poll about plus size men and women. I am thinking of opening a plus size clothing and jewelry store..Would you like to be able to shop in one place that has nice stylish clothes and jewelry without having to go to place after place after place trying to piece together one outfit..And thats affordable..I'm trying to decide if i should follow through with opening a business like this..Please please let me know..THanks

It would be almost impossible to carry enough of a variety to satisfy every customer, especially plus sized ones. Pant & skirt suits can be very difficult to fit, since many plus sized people have proportion problems, so that one of the pieces would be too large or too small. So, make sure all of your sets can be mixed and matched. Carry some things for young adults as well as the more mature person. And puh-leeeze no floral muu-muu's! They just advertise the size. In your jewelry line, carry a selection of clip on earrings, in both gold and silver. They're hard to find in contemporary styles. And carry a selection of accessories too, like scarves, belts, socks (especially with no-bind tops) & hosiery (in sizes up to 7 or 8X). Of course, location is very important too, so take in consideration for the kind of neighborhood your store will be in. If it's in a mall, then your concern will be floor size, and making the most of it. I wish you much success. <*)))><

Plus size clothing stores seem like a sound business, but I'm not sure about plus size jewelry. Do large people really have that much difficulty finding jewelry? Cheaper, massed produced rings might not fit a larger person but any quality jeweler can enlarge a ring or watch to basically any size. So if you wanted to include large sized jewelry in your shop that's fine. However, an actual plus sized jewlery store seems unnecessary.
