LOL I've often thought the same thing. Glenn Close was just a she-devil in that movie and not an attractive one at that. He could have done better and found himself a gal who wouldn't boil any pet rabbits. Good Question!

I've seen that movie over a dozen times since I have it on tape. But I never questioned whether or not Michael Douglas could have actually been attracted to Glenn Close, for real. I think that he thought that his wife would never find out and Closes' character excited him--in more ways than one! Also, did you notice that both Close and Archer had the same super-curly hair perms, just different color hair?

the answer is yes!!! glenn close's character was a SHE-DEVIL
and was very persistant with michael douglas......to the point where he just could not say no to her........but much to his dismay she was a psycho, who when she sunk her teeth into someone would not let go for anything.......it was a good film and scared the **** out of me when she rose up out of that bathtub.

Believe me, there are plenty of men who cheat that have truly beautiful wives at home! That rarely has anything to do with it, if ever.

What's so unbelievable about it? I don't think a cheater cares if the person is nicer looking or better than their partner.
