I need help with adding things to my PSP?

Question

OK well i bought a PSP off of my firend and it is in perfect condition. well i plugged in the PSP to the compter (then found out i had to update the firmware and did) and the computer says " inable to recodnized" and it says it malfunctioned.

how do i fix it so i can start putting music on, the psp wont read on my computer

try getting into a wireless hot spot and do the firmware update from there. I had the same problem, would not let me save it to my memory stick duo. So find a wi-fi hot spot like ur library, they wi-fi most of the time. Then you need software to be able to convert mps to the format needed to play on the psp
