God Only Knows - The Beach Boys:
"I may not always love you
But long as there are stars above you
You'll never need to doubt it
I'll make you so sure about it
God only knows what I'd be without you
If you should ever leave me
Though life would still go on, believe me
The world could show nothing to me
So what good would living do me?
God only knows what I'd be without you..."
Seems simplistic, but the written lyrics do not do this song justice. It is one of the most beautiful love songs ever sung and has one of the most recognizable tunes in the world. Try to get a sampling of it through Amazon, or Napster if you have it. Yahoo Music should have it as well.
Also, "Maybe I'm Amazed" by Paul McCartney, written in 1970 for his wife Linda:
"Maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time
And maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you pulled me out of time
You hung me on a line
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you
Maybe I'm a man, maybe I'm a lonely man
Who's in the middle of something
That he doesn't really understand
Maybe I'm a man
And maybe you're the only woman who could ever help me
Baby, won't you help me to understand?
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time
And maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song,
You right me when I'm wrong
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you
Maybe I'm a man, maybe I'm a lonely man
Who's in the middle of something
That he doesn't really understand
Maybe I'm a man
and maybe you're the only woman who could ever help me
Baby won't you help me to understand?"
Again, the song is best listened to rather than written. Amazing, to say the least. It is a very vulnerable song tempered only by the "maybe", perhaps because it is difficult for men to express such raw emotion.
All the best.

How about "Unchained Melody," by the Righteous Brothers?
or, "Baby I Need Your Lovin'" by the Four Tops or the Spinners.
or, "Can't Get Enough of Your Love Babe," by Barry White
or "Secret Garden," by Quincy Jones. This is a beautiful song.
Actually, all of them are great songs.

My fiancé and that i are in a lengthy distance relationship. Our song is "a thoughts away by Nickelback. it kind of feels it should be installation on your relationship because you're aside at present. also "hi there there Delilah" by the glaring White Tees. they're both about lengthy distance love. also, once you're into the classics, "at very last" by Etta James is fantastic, and "For once in my life" by Stevie ask your self, Tony Bennett, Michael Bublé and a range of of different others.
