Hi,
There's this weird person who has been stalking/harassing me on myspace. My husband and I are 99%+ sure we know who it is (one of his freaky students) but in order to do anything about this person, we have to "prove" it.
It is obviously not the person's "real" myspace, because they don't have any friends, any personal info, etc.
Is there anyway to figure out who is sending me these myspace messages, like making the IP address show up?
On yahoo mail or hotmail, I know there is a way to reveal the header and IP. I don't know if there is a way to do that with myspace messages, but I hope so.

Yes you can.. you can get a tracker and it's free it is www.hitslink.com and it will show you the I.P. address, the time, date, city and state and sometimes the id of the person that was looking @ your page. I use it when I receive messages. I look @ the time the message was sent and then I look on "hitslink" to see who was on my page @ that time

you will could touch my area and to be honest, the probabilities of them logging IP's for the masses of those that pass to their internet site looks unlikely, what they'de in all likelihood do is log the account and shop an eye fixed on it while they logged in. that may not some thing you're able to do remotely with out hacking myspace. in case you get her to deliver you an email, mime extensions which will tutor the place the unique email got here from, you could hint IP's with this. i'm going to verify if i will hit upon a handbook.

You're better off just blocking that person from sending you messages. You can't really do anything with their IP address. It's like having someone's licence plate #, you can't just get their home address from this information.
Best to just report the activity to Myspace.

The only way you might be able to get their IP address is to contact your internet service provider. They would have to issue a subpoena to myspace for them to get their IP address information. If they are using anamous proxy server then its def. not possible, becouse its not even their real IP address?

No. I don't think so. They only thing you can do really is just report abuse on him and as much time as he harasses you... The same amount of times you claim abuse. Myspace will eventually delete his fake profile. My brothers made a fake profile one time to play a joke on my cousin. They don't use it on anyone else though. Just family. but they've had that fake profile for 2 years and not a single person in our family knew it was them untill we told them not to long ago.

i dont think that you can get their IP adress. you will just have to ask the person and hope that you are right

i thing you can enquiry in the ISP office they will provide the message
