Both are very important, but if you can't afford them, the most important would be health insurance. After all, if you get sick, health insurance will pay for most of the cost, if not all. Life insurance is mostly so that your funeral expenses and your bills can be paid, and not be a burden to your family.Should you have savings that would cover your funeral expenses, you should be okay. Also if you have debts that are insured in case of disability or death, that will cover those expenses. Therefore, if you must choose one, I'd say Health Insurance. That's all I have...

I have health/medical insurance through work, and I've had my life insurance policy for 15 years. The life insurance will cover all burial expenses, pay any outstanding bills and any other expense that might come up after my death as well as provide extra money for my daughter.
