I am recovering from a dirtbike accident (yes, jumping). 5 months out from 3 compound fractures in tib/fib, and crushed calcaneous (heel) in the right leg. Titanium rod in tibia and heel plate with 8 screws in calcaneous. Good times.
I can walk, but it is still painful (tendonitis more than anything).
I have noticed two things:
1. There is always someone with worse injuries out there.
2. People often seem compassionate until I tell them it was a motorcycle accident, lol.

I have a formerly broken ankle. My foot was nearly broken off my leg. I'm plated and screwed together. Of course I am walking again but it always hurts. I was in bed for 3 months with it up...it was a miserable time.

I am very sorry you broke your leg. Do what the doctor says and it will be fine. Try not to be as mad as I was while I was recovering.

Not today, but ask me next week. I tend to break bones at least once per year, and there are only a few weeks left in this as of yet break free year.

Hope you heal quickly!

I have never broken a bone in my life...and I enjoy doing crazy things (e.i. jumping off roofs).
