Maybe he doesn't know what to say to you. You did leave him afterall. He's probably broken. If you really want him back, tell him you are sorry and what a huge mistake you've made. Ask him what you can do to make it better.

Well since you broke up with him for no reason, he is moving on with his life and trying to get over you and be happy. That was a crazy reason to break up becuz you wanted to be single. He probably felt really strongly about you and since you left he is trying to get over you and move on, and you should do the same. Thats probably why the conversations are so boring becasue he is trying to get over those feeling that yall once had so that he can be happy with some other girl and move on. Good Luck

you can tell him how you feel but there is a very small chance that he'll take you back. you really screwed this one up
