Should a suicide note limited to one page contain an essay on your perspective of life? Should it contain a list of people you blame for your problems?

If you are contemplating suicide and hope that your death will make people feel guilty - it might - others wouldn't care two hoots if you blamed them or not.

We all have someone who loves and cares about us. Have you thought about how you taking your own life will affect them? Is this the person you are wanting to hurt? If so, I'm guessing its because you're hurting now. Try and talk to them - don't blame or accuse.

I've seen the devastation that has been caused when someone commits suicide. I am not going to say its a cowards way out and I'm certainly not encouraging you to do it. Please, go to your Doctor, tell him/her that you have suicidal thoughts and get help. You might feel you're in a big black hole now, its possible to get out. I know, I once was there.

To the person who said "see you in hell", I would be interested to hear what your faith says about condemning others.

As to the original poster, I would seriously discourage you from comitting suicide. This world is a mad one, where social extrication and unacheivable expectations are the norm, but there are some moments of staggering beauty that make it entirely worthwile. They occur in everyone's life (even from a biological standpoint, the feeling of true euphoria is, on average, released five times every average lifetime) and give an odd aura of comfort.

There have been some brilliant people who have comitted suicide, not seeing any sort of logic or reason and therefore did not see a purpose. The inherent flaw in this, though, is that the act of living has never promised nor ever proved to have a point or a purpose. We, as human beings with minds cultured by societal intelligence (both the good and bad aspects), try to attribute life with a purpose. Don't try and think in these terms, instead, look at your problems as the trivial random that life is and realize that things will get better.

I believe it's kind of of a bizarre venture and am now not very completely happy that you have been set this challenge. There is tons of knowledge on public suicides, however a suicide word is an overly individual and personal factor. Perhaps that might be of curiosity.

You'll always be told not to do it. I'm not going to tell you that though, although I don't want you to. I'm more concerned about why you're considering it though. Of course there's always a way out, but if you can't find one, just run away. run as far as you can from the problem threatening your life since you obviously refuse to face it. But don't run away from life itself, you can enjoy years of everything life has to offer, no matter what you think. Whether it's low self esteem, family problems, drugs, whatever, there's never a reason to end your life. Millions of others are going through what you are right now.

only if you're a jerk. I mean, how important do you think you are that your suicide will "teach them a lesson?" Sure they'll feel bad, but life goes on for them. They will live, laugh and love again. They will probably just be angry at your selfishness when they talk about you and your melodramatics.

If you want to be helpful though, you should leave your bank account information and a list of who gets what when they split up your possessions.

So, let's see, if you blame people for your problems, they'll probably feel really, really bad. But you'll be dead. So, maybe the thing to do is to be wildly successful, rich beyond their dreams, so they can stew about it for years to come. Then find some way to humiliate them, like getting quoted in a magazine about how sorry you feel that they never made it in life.

There is an insult unto death and it has to come from friends and family. Now try to see why you don't fit in. There are reasons. It has nothing to do with blame or wrongs. You are different and now in a different group. Stay with your type.

If you're planning on committing suicide, RETHINK ABOUT IT! Don't do that to your friends and family. My older brother tried committing suicide about one year ago, and it was the scariest time ever for my family.

You don't know anything about me, but pretend that you do. Now imagine that everything you like, and believe in is the exact opposite of me. To put it another way, I represent EVERYTHING you hate, or disagree with. Your death will make me very happy. Do away with yourself, and I'm still hear to make your loved ones miserable. Do you really want me to WIN? Think about it!
