We desperately need a political party that believes in self-government, that government should be small and freedom should be a priority. Both Republicans and Democrats seem to favor a huge entitlement government where tons of freebies are handed out in order to get votes so they can stay in office forever. They way overspend our government putting it in debt and they support an atmosphere of corruption with both parties supporting sick politicians who damage people. We need a party that cares for getting out of the way of people and using government for things like defense and law enforcement. The Libertarian party would be a great solution but it seems too small at thsi point. The main issue should be to shrink the government: get rid of dept of eductation, interior, housing and NASA and privatise the TSA and as much of the govt as possible.

There is the Libertarian party. They are the perfect balance. Democrats and Republicans go too far.

The entire political party system (including districting) and campaign financing need to be reformed. But, it will never happen.
