That when the government introduces taxes under labels like Green Tax (for 4x4s), Anti- smoking Tax, Road Tolls, Congestion Charges, Fat Taxes, Tax on Travel etc etc Although it all appears to make sense and looks all logical, it is just a scam to cream off more money from poor working people?

It is a well understood function of human psychology that as long as something is perceived not to apply to you directly you are in favour of it. But these ideas are used increasingly to fleece us . There is a new scam a day. Now MPs want £100,000 pa on top of all that they claim in pay and expenses.

Why don't they propose a non-tax solution. Is that not what they are employed for, to make life better and easier for us.

A "Green" Tax that enables £20 billion to be spent on trident missiles? And £600,000,000 to be diverted to a war that no one wants? How much else of these "Green" taxes are being squandered increasing the greenhouse gasses in this way. A tough one for clever customers

no but the government like to think we are, maybe we should have a new law that states the tax must be spent on what its collected for or maybe they should have to publish their accounts at the end of the fiscal year so we could see what they are doing with our money

The government is inventing taxes impossible to pay. The people should assail all the laws that created taxes and retain only just a few.

I HELLBENT think that the thousands of tax laws are just there to divert attention from the fact that the tax rules are unfair. This way you can't just point to one, or a hundred for that matter.
