slice a lemon or lime in half and rub the juice on your dishcloth. let it stay and wash it with detergent. that should take care of the smell.

Several things:
1. Wash in hot water
2. Dampen it and microwave it (30 sec) to kill bacteria
3. Throw it out and get a new one.

soak in bleach one hour and wah lahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! I do it every week! I wash dishes in bleach to cut down on ecoli too.

after using the dish cloth,rinse it out good then put just a little bit of dish soap in it until you use it next time.

You can add asmall amount of Febreeze to any load of laundry...works wonders with my kitchen uniforms...
