that so mean of you!! she still remember you,obviously when she said we use to go to the same school. say to her that you didn't mean to hurt her feelings and apologize.. think before you talk or write.

I don't think you should say anything mean. Maybe you can say that that is usually your policy and you only told her that to make her feel special. If you are nice to her she might end up feeling like a jerk for giving YOU a rude reply.
