That's a pretty vague question. Happy in what way? Is it emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, or finanically? There are always two sides to a story. Does she have ample reasons on your part that is not making her happy? Have you talked to her about how she feels or what you percieve how she feels? Communication is the most important in regards to resloving problems. It helps because you see how the other person feels and for all we know we may be guilty of things we weren't even aware of until it's brought to our attention. Be honest with yourself and be ready to compromise and be willing to do what it takes as long it doesn't compromise the marriage bond. Try to take an interest in the things she likes, be aware of her feelings, be patient with her when its that time of the month for her, comfort her when she needs you there for her, and take the lead as a husband to settle matters.
Now if you have a wife that nevers seems happy because of faults of her own, then you'll have to tell her how it makes you feel and see if she can compromise. Like I said there is always two sides to a story. But if at all possibly, keep peace, be ready to forgive or apologize and don't go to bed angry.
If you want to really want to make your wife happy, there is a book that can help. The bible. If you apply what it says for husbands you can never go wrong, never.

my friend you have asked the question that cannot be answered. women being happy for longer than a 24 hour period is a myth, only to be told in fairy tale novels to be read only by women. that way they think they could be like that also, and blame you for not being that fairy tale princess.
honestly though, i have found with my wife it is simple things. if you call her and ask her to lunch during the week, buy her a card for absolutely no reason at all, anything that you would consider "too easy" to make her happy probably will.

just the fact that you are asking to try improve your marriage would mean alot to me. take her out to her favorite restraunt, if you have children take over one night or two while she relaxes, look her in the eye when she is talking, make her laugh, get a babysitter and stay at home watching movies naked, and then great sex (go down on her for a long time) always works for me. but on a day to day basis smile at her and if it seems like something is bothering her it propably is. so ask her about it offer some advice and tell her your there when ever she needs to talk.

make her feel special, do something you normally wouldn't do that lets her know your thinking about her like leave a rose on her winshield or a love note on her pillow. My husband could make me happy if he would just help with the house and kids, don't let her feel unappreciated or taken for granted.

do something different,something that your wife is not used to,something from the days when you 2 first feel in love that made her smile.if you wont your wife to be happy then show more give more.trust

Love her, respect her, appreciate her, and let her know that she is the center of your world. That will mean more to her than a garden full of roses or a store full of candy
