hi, i just bought a laptop which doesn't play this dvd on any media player. This is what it says when i wanted to play dvd (from power DVD)
"copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled."
Can anyone tell me whats wrong?

note: this dvd i could play in another computer

I also checked in device manager there was no Tv Out option

Install DVD player

Many laptops do have a TV out option. You won't find it in device manager though. Look at the advanced properties for your video driver.

in the option section of your "dvd program"
check for the type of media it plays - (example - .avi .... .mpg or what ever media format your dvd is)

also check to see which dvd your player is compatible with (PAL or NTSC ... this is in regards to region/area - one is for European countries the other is for North America and a few other countries) - check this site for more info.. it has a pretty good description of PAL/NTSC - http://www.scotdisc.co.uk/how%20to_video.htm

and you might want to check to see if your player has the codecs for the dvd

is your dvd player set as default player?

most probably your laptop dvd drive cannot recognise the DVD cd...

get dvdfab and rip that sucker to the harddrive ...
