Yes - But it was called the World According to Garp. Glenn Close played Garp's mom, but in reality she was/is only a few years older than Robin Williams. But, the reason to watch this movies is John Litgow (sp). This was his first big role and he is wonderful as a man who wants to be a women.

I read the book, saw the movie. Great stuff. I do not remember if Robin Williams was in it. I rather don't think he was. Title was "The World According To Garp"
