If you put lipstick on the mirror and say bloody mary a certain amount of times, something will happen? What will happen and I am SO scared to do it!!!!! I heard you have to do it with the lights out too....

OMG YES!! i did that on thanksgiving and she came out through the mirror! When we turned the lights back on the sink was ALL BLOODY!

Various legends surrounding this:
Its a mind game, if you are that scared and believe it that much you can trick yourself into believing anything.
It is an urban legend just like bloody bones, light as a feather etc
If you want to try it go ahead. Nothing will happen to you, only you can imagine what you see (mind over matter).
This is the version I learned: (mind you there are several versions)
stand in a dark bathroom in front of the mirror
say bloody mary (some say 3 some say more)
A woman will appear in the mirror and scratch up your face
In some versions if you flush the toilet she will speak
You can do the same thing but say hell mary 7 times
after 5 times the mirror turns red
after 7 times an unclear face appears
If you watch the movie candyman it is basically the same idea of bloddy mary.

Nothing will happen. There's absolutely no conclusive proof of spirits of any kind existing, and yours is the easiest to disprove. Gather up some courage, get in that bathroom, and say Bloody Mary three times.
When you're done, trust me, you'll feel silly. We all do it at some point.

this scared me for about 20 years of my life. I heard it when I was at a slumber party at 10 y.o.
NO IT"S NOT TRUE!!! Although the style has changed I was told turn out the lights spin around 3x and say it...

This is one of many urban myths. Look urban myths up on the internet and there will be many other stories there besides that one that have circulated for years that don't have a shred of truth to them.

i did that when i was young but the lipstick part hadnt been worked in there yet.
its amazing how things change over the years...

of course it's not true! it's just a myth. i did that before in a truth or dare game, and i was pretty scared. but nothing happened. so if you try it, i guarentee nothing will happen to you. (unless your mind plays tricks on you)

I, to this day, cannot look at a mirror in the dark...
STILL gives me the heeby jeebies...

Honestly i couldnt say if it works or not!! Cuz i've never tried it, some people i know have done it and they said it worked some said it didnt!!! But if you really want to know you should just do it yourself
