Shooting the moon (sorry for those booty lovers) means to take all 26 points, the 13 point queen of spades and all 13 one point hearts. A player who shoots a moon has ran the table and has option of giving each player 26 points, or reduce their own score by 26 points

It means you were able to collect all the hearts and the queen of spades, all other players get 26 points, you get 0

'shooting the moon' means that one person gets all the point cards. (hearts and the queen). you would think that is bad, but really its good for that person. if they 'shoot the moon' instead of recieving all the points, everyone else get 26 points each!

It means you take ALL the hearts AND the queen of spades - you take ALL the points, and then everyone ELSE gets the points, and you get zero!
It's hard to do, cuz if someone else takes just one heart, you are stuck with all the rest of the points.

That means that you get all the points( The Queen of Spades and all of the hearts.} When that happens, you get no points and your opponents get 26 points each.

It just sucks to loose all your points.
