Cancer and Scorpio are both water signs, like Pisces. As a rule, signs of the same element go together. Water signs are also good with earth signs (Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo). Virgo is your opposite... could be a good balance, could be a constant war. Air signs and water signs are generally a bad idea... the only air sign most water signs get along with is Libra. Aquarius is hit or miss. Avoid Gemini at all costs (the water signs' natural enemy). Fire signs are generally too showy/fickle/dense/borderline shallow for water signs (who like amounts of depth and I dare say drama). Though Aries are the awkward little brother of fire signs, and most water signs (myself included) find them strangely cute (though in a more "awe" than romantic way). Pisces tend to be dreamy and imaginitive... Scorpios are idealistic and passionate, a good vehicle for Pisces dreaminess (they feed off each other). Cancers are more homey and sheltered... very romantic, but at times a little too whiny and practical/domestic for Pisces.
It also doesn't just depend on your Sun sign... you also have to consider moon signs, planets, etc... It's complicated and a major drag. *shrug*

A few observations from a fish:
Yikes! Someone suggests a fire sign....Fire can warm water up but it can make steam! Water will easily douse a fire. It has proven to be a good relationship for me but not a romantic one.
Being a Pisces myself, I have always been at peace with other fish. Sometimes we have been from different "schools" but we always have swum in the same current.
Virgo IS your opposite. Opposites do attract but they're going in opposite directions some time.
A relationship with an Earth sign can be murky. My Taurus wife used to say that Earth and Water make mud.

well, love-wise, you go good with taurus, scorpio, and capricorn.

Pisces is a water sign which is also a love sign.The best match for a water sign is a earthy sign like aries,perhaps.

I'm Pisces too and quite unlucky in love as well lol.I don't believe it has to do with our sun sign,but with the position of Venus in our birth chart.I don' know about yours,but my Venus is kinda afflicted..

pisces is always compatible with a cancer or an aquarious.but with a fire sign that would be a very steamy relationship i`m an aries and i know how hotheaded i can be.lol......glad i could help.
