I have a desktop and it can get onto the internet, but my two laptops can connect to the internet through the same router? I know the router works and I think the problem is the encryption code? How do I cahnge the code? Or any other ideas?

When logged in to your router, there's an option which allows you to share the encryption key you assigned, depending on the connection type. For wireless connections, security should be WEP, Authentication should be "shared key". Same for LAN

Yes they all should be able to connect through the same router, if the drivers are not loaded right for each lap top or the e card is bad then that might be one possible problem.

I would suggest calling your ISP and asking them or calling the company that the router was made by as they all have tech help.......

Good luck

Read the manual for the Router. Most routers have an address, something like http://192.168.1.1, you access them with a browser. Once you log in as the administrator, there is a place to set the WPA or WEP code.

You would enter the same codes into the laptops.
