it means for the data passing speed
that's the moved from server to you (downstream) and upstream (your system to server)
it is based on the cable what you are using for transfer

My connection speed is often 995-kbps and uploads are usually about 600-kbps.
Transfering between computers locally is 56-mbps (megabytes).
This isn't using the page you've give me...
I got some advanced software that does all that stuff for me..lol.

It's a shame people don't answer simple questions when it's right under their noses..

That does mean Nothing.
Your Internet speed differs. Meaning that's NEW ZELAND... The data signal has to travel from USA ---> NZ ----> USA ---> MAINFRAME --> YOUR ISP --> YOUR IP --> your pc...

The best way to check the exact speed of your internet is call your ISP company and ask the BEST IN NETWORK speed test. That means the STATE you're living in... or city that the MAIN FRAME is...
