Yes it can, but that usually involves more effort to be done to install it. You will need to install a switch that will disable the requirement for the clutch to be pressed during starting. With the switch allowing the engine to start without the the clutch being pushed, you have to make sure to leave the car in neutral and set the parking brake before setting the remote starter.

A remote starter can be installed in a manual transmission vehicle. It will need to have a model specifically built for a manual transmission.
As to if it will work in your car, I do not know. You state that the clutch needs to be depressed. Will your car not start if the transmission is in neutral and the clutch is not depressed?

Yes, "optional" means it "costs extra money"! It'll cost you about an addl. $800! >"If it is a stickshift is it possible to get this in automatic ?" The transmissions are put in at the factory! The dealership does not "convert" a delivered car's transmission. (it's not like changing wheel covers) They will have models with automatic or manual transmissions. btw - Anti-lock brakes are an extra $700+, and they typically show up equipped with them. You do not want a new car without them!

Hi! yes it can. My husband had one on his truck. All you would have to do is push the clutch in and put it in gear before you turn turn the car off, and of course the e-brake. But his worked ever time. In fact he would set the knobs on the air so his truck would heat up in the mornings.
~good luck

yes they can
they also install a "black widow switch" which senses if the vehicle is in neutral and also over rides the neutral safety switch which you implement by stepping on your clutch before starting
