Dingledine. (actual name) 1966...was expecting my first child. We had just had a new house built and a man was coming out to install a vacuum system. I don't remember what his first name was, but will never forget the last name. when he introduced himself..it was all I could do to keep from busting out with giggles. I was young and I had never heard a name like that before.

In school we had a poor girl who was named Ima Dumas. You can imagine how some people pronounced her last name. I could never understand how her mother could have given her the first name either! Makes a bad situation worse!

The company I work for has a few clients with funny last names. Ones that come to mind are Hurlbut (pronounced exactly like it sounds) and Haycock. And we have a Dick Johnson that is a client of ours too.
