Hello guys, I've got an important question.
My left index finger was split in half. I had to get 24 stitches in it, And I was wondering, What are the symtoms of a wound getting infected?

Ooze. And red streaks going up your hand / arm....if you notice that go to the ER right away as an infection can get into your blood and you need IV antibiotics.

I hope you get better because if you are asking it must really hurt and it is probably infected. See a doctor quick.

-Swelling
-Tenderness
-Discoloration
-Discharge
-Feeling of warmth
Be sure to keep your wound clean and covered until it develops a scab, or you have your stitches removed!

Ouch! okay well the symptoms are redness,swelling,more pain,obvious leakage(ew) , and thats pretty much it

well depening on how deep it is...if you scratch your finger and it gets open there is a chance... if you leave it be and let it heal you should have no worries

when it goes black you'll know its infected and it will have to be removed.
