I have a friend who lost their wife only 8 months ago. He has now (last 2 months) found a new love. My friend and his wife had a great marriage and he was devastated by her death but I just cant understand how he can move on to someone else so quickly
The woman seems a nice person but I find it really hard to deal with this situation (they are all over each other) - any thoughts on this matter ???

Men have a problem with being on their own. They need someone to take care of them, and if they were married for a while, he would be used to having a female in his life. He's not replacing your friend, he's found a new person that he feels that can help him take the pain away. Don't look at him badly, it's probably the only way he can deal with it. He's probably wants to feel normal and to feel that he has moved on. You may find that this love affair will either last forever or it will be over soon. Sorry to hear about your friend.

If his wife and he had a great marriage then I am sure she probably would've wanted him to move on and find someone else to love. My husband and I have discussed this before and we both have said that the other should move on and not wait around for someone that can never come back. It doesn't mean he didn't love his wife or that he'll forget her. it just means that he wants someone to live his life with. His wife is never coming back no matter how miserable he feels. It seems to me that if you're his friend you'd want him to be happy even if you're uncomfortable seeing him with another woman at first.

It happens. If his wife was sick maybe he did much of his grieving before she passed.

Some men just don't do well without a woman in their life.

Life is short. Let him move on. Even though this seems like too short of a time. There is no guidlines as to this

i know how you feel but sometimes people just can't handle the life of loneliness and probably he is those kinds of person that is very upset about being alone. he might miss her deceased wife and think about her often and might Even lock himself up and cry but i guess he is the type of person who moves on. they must believe that this life is like a dark tunnel, you might not always find the light at the end of the tunnel but just move on and you'll find something better.....he must be those kind.
maybe you could just wish him good luck and when something happen really bad with the couple's relationship...i bet you'll know what'll happen next.

She is probably a rebound girl. She might be the person who helps him come to terms with living life again. Chances are good that this will not be any long term thing.
