I doubt it. someone who is suicidal will not be in a frame of mind to ask whether they should comit suicide.

It's like someone standing on a window ledge. for the first 15 hours you say don't jump after this you cant be bothered anymore and the more you tell them to jump, they don't, they suddenly have loads to live for after wasting 15 hours of your life. If the person really wanted to die they wouldn't care what was said on yahoo answers.

UHHHHH YEAH, it was kinda cold, I know from experience that would not be the right thing to say to someone who apparently has some issues.
She's reaching out for real help and guidance

Your answer is pretty bad, however, the person who asked the question is already reaching for help and (I hope) will be OK.
Sometimes it's better to pass if you have nothing to say...

It is extremely rare that someone talking about suicide will go ahead and do it. As someone mentioned, she was just attention seeking, and probably couldn't think of anything sensible to ask.

You shouldn't have said that BUT then again she asked so dont feel bad - that was just your opinion, and if she does it then that that means she was going to do it anyway, NOT YOUR FAULT if it happens

Well, she seems pretty vulnerable right now...So I think it's probably best not to suggest something like that to her.....
