sooner or later your mom will surely know about it...so better tell her honestly and promise to exert more effort next time...don't just promise...you really must do it...then ask your mom to assist and help you do it better next time.

Um, those get mailed, so don't worry so much about telling her you got an F on a progress report. Come up with a plan to improve the grade. Maybe discuss tutoring and extra credit with your teacher . Then when the report comes, you'll already have a way to open discussion with your mom on a positive note, since you took steps towards improvement.

Hide. Sorry hon, you're gonna have to break it to her somehow or another. Tell her first that it's the hardest teacher you've ever had, so you're working really really hard to make your grades better. All that jazz. Good luck with that.
