i find that spellcasters seem to have a weak point in offense, such as mythical beast cerberus, yes, he can get a huge ATK, but this power surge dies down after it attacks, making him vulnerable to strong monsters, like a cyber dragon combo (cyber dragon+ mataza the zapper = dead monster+ 3100 damage to you, and no, that type of thing does not happen rarely). Dragons have almost no support. the only thing to protect it would be the dragons bead, but that doesn't stop attacks to your dragons or stop damage. But, ignoring all this negativity, here is an idea for a spellcaster deck:

u sound worried, I use a spellcaster deck, dont use both choose one, they both have many different cards, its almost impossible I say choose the spellcaster they kick but iff I can help then heres my deck list:
