I just wonder why did Mike Jerome who play Ted Left the show?

Mike Jerome came on as a contract with OLTL after winning, I Wanna Be a SoapStar. The contract was for 13 episodes and afterwards, they decide if they want to keep the actor on or let them go. They opted to let him go. In upcoming episodes, it will be revealed that Ted died in a fire at one of Vincent's properties and an investigation will ensue.
