I use Jane at times but has anyone found another brand to be better?

I would say MAC Blot loose powder also but its about $20. It is in the best list. Loreal True Match super blendable powder is inexpensive but not "loose" powder even though you apply it with a brush. This one also tops the best list. See this source for why. http://www.beautyqa.com/top3.php

If you really want loose powder try revlon skinlights. Many freelance makeup artists will use this in their shoots.

Jane is about the best thing you are gonna get for a low price. Anything cheaper is just going to be a terrible quality and you will not be happy with it at all

I often switch between two brands one is inexpensive and the other is mid priced, Covergirl ($6) and Clinique ($17).

Depends on what you call INEXPENSIVE. If inexpensive is $20-$25 then i would recommened bare minerals. If cheaper then i would recomend Phys. Formula.
