I like the looks of the 2006 CRV. I think the new ones (2007) look dorky. Never driven one, but history says you pretty much can't go wrong with Honda.

Now, we did rent a new RAV-4 a few months ago. It was surprisingly comfortable and peppy and bonus--even for a 4WD it got over 30mpg! One of my co-workers was going to buy a Camry and I told him to at least drive the RAV-4 and he poo-pooed me... but ended up buying a RAV-4 because it was so comfortable!

Really, I don't think you could go wrong either way! Go for whichever has the best deal and financing.

I believe the CRV rated higher in Consumer Reports.
