Just imagine, if they come looking for life, and the earth has just been killed by us, and we're gone too. How tragic...they will never know that life flourished here, how we loved, and died. That we wrote books, and built monuments. That we looked up at the stars, and wondered and waited. That we laughed in joy, and cried in pain.

They would never know that they had siblings here. Just imagine if, while passing by, they say, "Nothing here either. Let's go". They would never see our magnificent literature, our stupendous achievements. And they had come looking only for basic life forms. What a shock they would have got if they had found us! Alas, the pain is too deep to express.

Hey have you read that they actually think that there was at one point in time, flowing water on Mars (especially around the equator.. It was on Yahoo! News a couple of days ago...)

Anyway, could you imagine if at one point there was actually life on Mars (which is what NASA is trying to determine) and all of the life was wiped out, and now we're trying to figure out the exact same thing that you're talking about Aliens trying to figure out for Earth...

Creepy.

In fact if I were an alien and saw some of our transmissions I would decide it was not somewhere I would want to visit.

If we can detect, water and life in rocks and planets, then I am sure other life forms can too.

We also have sent out Radio waves into space, talking about life on Earth.

Hitler was one of the first people to do this, believe it or not.

we certainly seem intent on the end of destroying our planet too, eh.
but the cosmos is far too large for this mote to be discerned by aliens, and yes there may well be life out their far advanced, but the odds of them finding us or our burnt out planet after we destroy it are incredibly slim, so cease with the sorrow already.

Are you a guy? You know, you sound like a really attractive man.

I can't describe why, but if a guy discussed things like that in earshot of me, I would melt.

Seriously, this is not sarcasm.

Mmmm.... so cute. Keep it up, and you'll have women all over you... or at least me.
